Overview
Tillinghast designed the Lower Course at Baltusrol in New Jersey in the early 1920s, and it has staged multiple US Opens, including Jack Nicklaus victories in 1967 and 1980. It also hosted the PGA Championship in 2005, won by Phil Mickelson, and in 2016, won by Jimmy Walker. The par 5 finishing hole is one of the best known in American golf.
