Bethpage Black
1936 A W Tillinghast public course with a warning sign at the first tee
Overview
The Black Course at Bethpage State Park was the first true public venue to host a US Open, in 2002 when Tiger Woods won. Its warning sign, for highly skilled golfers only, became legend. The 2019 PGA Championship and 2025 Ryder Cup came here too.
