Overview
Congressional Country Club in Bethesda, Maryland, opened in 1924. Its Blue Course hosted the 1964 US Open, won by Ken Venturi through severe heat, and the 1997 US Open, won by Ernie Els. Rory McIlroy won there in 2011 at 16 under par, a US Open scoring record at the time, and the course hosted the 2022 PGA Championship for women.
