Ganton
Inland Yorkshire course of 1891 with links character
Overview
Ganton sits in the Vale of Pickering on sandy soil, giving it firm turf and gorse lined fairways unusual for an inland course. Harry Vardon was professional there early in his career. It hosted the 1949 Ryder Cup and the 2003 Walker Cup and is regarded as one of the finest inland tests in Britain.
