National Golf Links of America
C B Macdonald template course of 1911 at Southampton
Overview
Macdonald built the National as an American answer to the home of golf, importing replicas of famous holes from Britain. The Redan 4th and the Cape 6th became templates copied across the continent. The windmill beside the ninth green is its signature.
