The Belfry Brabazon
Midlands course that has hosted the Ryder Cup four times
Overview
The Brabazon course at The Belfry opened in 1977, designed by Peter Alliss and Dave Thomas, and became the home of European Ryder Cup golf. It hosted the matches in 1985, 1989, 1993 and 2002, with Europe winning in 1985 to end a long run of American dominance. The drivable par 4 10th hole became famous after Seve Ballesteros attacked it.
