The Country Club staged the 1913 US Open where 20 year old caddie Francis Ouimet beat Harry Vardon and Ted Ray, the upset that Americanized golf. It hosted the 1988 Curtis Strange US Open and the 2022 Matt Fitzpatrick US Open. Three nines weave through Brookline woodland.
