Carnoustie Championship
Rebuilt by James Braid in the 1920s into the hardest links test in championship golf
Overview
Carnoustie is widely called the sternest links in the Open rotation. The closing stretch with the Barry Burn crossing the 17th and 18th decided the Opens of 1999 and 2007. Ben Hogan made his only Open appearance here in 1953 and won.
