Muirfield
Redesigned by Old Tom Morris in 1891 for the Honourable Company of Edinburgh Golfers
Overview
Muirfield runs as a ring of outward holes circling the inward nine, a clever loop that keeps wind in play from every angle. It has hosted The Open 16 times, including the 2013 win by Phil Mickelson. Jack Nicklaus admired it so deeply that he named his Ohio course Muirfield Village in tribute.
