St Andrews Old Course
Links over common land recorded from the 1500s, home of the Royal and Ancient clubhouse
Overview
The Old Course is the oldest layout in golf, its shared double greens routing out and back across linksland behind the town. The Swilcan Bridge and the Road Hole are landmarks every golfer knows. It has staged The Open around 30 times, most recently in 2022, and remains a public course anyone can book.
